Farrer Swimming Carnival

The swimming carnival is held on Wednesday 27th March commencing at 1:00pm to 8:30pm. All students are expected to attend the swimming carnival. 

Parents/carers and family members are welcome to attend. We ask that all visitors sign in with Passtab via the QR codes when they arrive and sign out as they leave.

All students are expected to attend the swimming carnival. If extenuating circumstances prevent your son from being able to stay for the duration of the carnival, they must provide Prinicpal; Mr Gallagher with a signed note from a parent stating the time and reason they are required to leave early, this includes students who are required to catch a bus. Students who are granted permission will be required to sign out before leaving the carnival.

  • Students are to wear their sports uniform to school (house shirt is allowed for sports carnival days) and bring their swimming gear with them (swimmers, towel, sunscreen, hat, water bottle)
  • Periods 1 to 3 are normal lessons. The carnival will start at 1:00 pm and conclude at approx. 8:30 pm.
  • The Refectory will provide dinner to Boarders and Day students. Dinner will start from 5:00 pm and students will be sent in year groups.
  • The Canteen will be open from 1:30 pm and have meals available until 6:30 pm - a reminder that the canteen is cashless and only accepts eftpos payments.

Volunteers for the canteen are most welcome, please contact the canteen on 6764 8616 to confirm a time slot if you are available on the day.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BOARDING FAMILIES:

  • All School Student Transport Scheme bookings (coaches and trains) will be made for Thursday 28th March 2024. 
  • As the school expects all students to attend the carnival, no other public transport bookings will be made during the week.
  • Students will not be permitted to travel on the dayboy buses until Thursday afternoon.
  • Leave will only be granted for students at the completion of the swimming carnival. If extenuating circumstances prevent your son from being able to stay for the duration of the carnival, leave requests must be addressed to the Principal for approval, prior to any Reach applications being submitted.
  • Students with permission to drive can only leave at the completion of the swimming carnival if they live locally or have a parent present to sign them out.
