The study of mathematics is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
By studying mathematics, students learn to work mathematically – developing fluency, understanding, problem-solving, reasoning and communication skills.

Mathematics is an area of thought relevant to everybody in everyday life. At Farrer we strive to allow students to see the relevance of the applied mathematics they do in the courses provided as well as allowing those students who aim to lift their mathematical thinking to a higher, more theoretical level to achieve their goals.
