Mr Clint Gallagher, Farrer School Principal, has set our students and staff a "Gratitude Challenge" for 2019. Research has shown that feeling grateful is one of the strongest emotions we have. The practice of gratitude helps us cope better with stress, improves our physical and mental health and increases positive feelings such as hope and happiness.
Our students and staff will be talking about what they appreciate in their everyday lives. eg feeling grateful for what they do have, not what they don’t, showing courtesy, kindness, listening and exhibiting patience.
Our School Captain, Sam Wentworth, was the first student to participate in this challenge. In the video he outlines what he appreciates here at Farrer. See what Sam has to say.
