On Saturday 18 June 2022, the Farrer Student Representative Council (SRC) delivered a Trivia Night for Years 10-12. Hosted by our trivia night quizmasters Mr McVey and Mr Garnsey, approximately 70 students from Farrer and Calrossy took part in answering some curly questions on music, current affairs, sport and a range of other topics.
Several teams dressed up in ‘Team Theme’ for the occasion, with the highlight being the Calrossy/Farrer uniform swap between one of our Year 12 teams. Several games took place between rounds which generated plenty of laughs, including paper plane making, ‘tell your worst Dad joke’ (where an actual Dad was unjustly ruled out of contention due to a perceived unfair advantage), and a baked bean eating contest.
Congratulations to the winning team, ‘Getting across the line’ for their victory on the night.
Thanks to the SRC students for their organisation and support on the night, Mr Garnsey and Mr McVey for their quizmaster skills and organisation, Paulie O’Brien from the Fec for the delicious fruit and hot food platters, Ms Barton and Ms Wilde for their supervision, the PT&F for providing our payment facilities and all our participants for coming along.
